Majestic Spring Colours, at Leura Gardens Festival Enjoy the Leura Gardens Festival each day between September 29th and October 7th in the charming Leura Village in the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains. The Festival showcases ten distinctive, privately owned gardens displaying flowering Dogwoods, Japanese Cherries, Rhododendrons, Camellias, Azaleas, Tulips, Lilacs, Mountain Phlox and many more cold climate flowering plants. And one of this year’s gardens has unmissable valley views. Only 90 minutes from Sydney, this Festival is genuinely unique. The village of Leura is a feast of shopping, galleries, gourmet restaurants and charming cafes. And the streetscape of Leura Village, with its cherry trees in full blossom, simply demand to be experienced. Only a few kilometres away are the spectacular valley rides of Scenic World, glimpsing the ancient beauty of the Blue Mountains. Hop on & off shuttle buses at $4.50 per day meet the train at Leura Station regularly and run between all gardens. Coaches are specially catered for with a central meeting point and group tickets. Accommodation ranges from cosy B & B to 5 star. The Festival is a registered charity run by volunteers, raising funds for Blue Mountains District Anzac Memorial Hospital.
